Recreation and Tourism Management (3,0,0) 3 credits

The theory and practice of managing natural resource based recreation and tourism. This course will consider natural resource based recreation and tourism from social, economic, business and resource management perspectives. It will provide an introduction to the foundations of recreation and tourism in modern society, including resource management impacts on recreation and tourism, principles of recreation systems planning, and administration and management of natural resource based recreation and tourism businesses. It includes extensive use of case studies and current issue topics. There will be a field trip activity fee applied to this course.

Prerequisite: Year 3 standing in the BNRS program
