This course is designed to provide a broad introduction to the field of microbiology. Topics include: microbial anatomy and physiology, sterilization techniques, identification of bacteria, immunology, bacterial genetics, medial microbiology, applied microbiology, virology, parasitology, mycology.
Prerequisite: BIOL 111/121 or 111/125 and 125L, CHEM 110/120 or 111/121
