This course offers an introduction to the fundamentals of financial accounting from the perspective of the user. Topics include objectives, format, content, and analysis of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement; basic accounting principles and assumptions; the basic accounting cycle; accounting for current and non-current assets; accounting for current and non-current liabilites; owner's equity; and revenues and expenses.

Prerequisite: 15 credits

Note: Students will not receive credit for both BBUS 221 and ACCT 100 or ACCT 121
