The purpose of this course is to provide teachers with information about how to use computers and information technology across the curriculum. For example, students will learn to use Word and PowerPoint to prepare teaching materials, databases to manage student marks, e-mail to communicate with other professionals, FrontPage to create web pages, and the Internet to search educational resources and research databases.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Year 1 or permission of the instructor and Chair of the department and a basic working knowledge of microcomputers.
