Composition Theory 1: Classical Theory (3,0,0) 3 credits

A study of Classical theories of rhetoric, including the thought of the Sophists, of Aristotle, Cicero and Quintlilian, applied to contemporary composition. English 310 is open to all third-year students and is especially revelant to English majors contemplating a career in Education or Communication.

Prerequisite: ENGL 110, 111, or 121, or equivalent, in addition to third-year standing.
