This health science course for nurses covers the study of conventional pharmacology, pharmacognosy (complimentary herbal medicine and neutriceuticals), and related social, ethical, and political issues. There will be a strong emphasis on theory integration and clinical application of course concepts as this knowledge relates to client situation and the clinical practice setting common to nurses. Course concepts will be explored from a variety of world views (natural science, phenomenology, and critical social perspective).
