This course discusses both current and traditional issues in the Accommodation and Food and Beverage sectors of the Tourism Industry. Accommodation, Food and Beverages are offered in a wide variety of styles. The field is vast, from five star resorts in Switzerland to campgrounds in the Cariboo, from Michelin rated restaurants in France to Starbucks and McDonald's in just about any city in the world, from local taverns in England to multi million dollar clubs in North America. These tourism business operations can be found all over the world. What is interesting is that as people travel and experience international operations their demands upon their local tourism operations affect the style of that local business and the products that it offers.
Prerequisite: Admission into the Bachelor of Tourism Management Degree Program.
