This diploma is designed for degree holders from non-computing science areas to give them a solid foundation in Computing Science, allowing them to be knowledgeable and competent in the Computing Science area.

The diploma will give a solid background in Computing Science (COMP 113, COMP 123, and COMP 223, COMP 352), exposure to employable skills in three Computing Science areas with the highest market demand (COMP 354, COMP 361: Databases and COMP 323/324: networks including Internet), advanced knowledge and skills (specialization) in two out of four highly marketable areas (COMP 461: advanced databases, COMP 423: advanced networks, COMP 424 and COMP 462), and exposure to work in teams (COMP 492: project).
