TRU Orientation 2019 will take place on Tuesday, September 3rd, 9am at the Campus Commons! Register early and be entered for a chance to win a semester parking pass!
You will learn about the people, places, supports and resources available on campus. You will meet lots of other students, staff and faculty — some new and some not-so-new — as you explore your university. Throw in some food and prizes and you've got a fun-filled, jam-packed day to remember.
TRU Orientation is not just for first-year students — it is for all new-to-TRU students. If you are a graduate, mature or transfer student, you are welcome to join.
General Information for the day of TRU Orientation
When you get to campus on September 3/2019
New-to-TRU students are asked to arrive on campus at 9:00am at the Campus Commons (front side of the Campus Activity Center). Once on campus, go grab an orientation t-shirt and then join your group number. If you are lost look for a volunteer (bright orange shirts) or a staff member in a JUST ASK! t-shirt and they can direct you on where to go.
Planning to drive to campus? Applications for semester and annual permits are available August 1st for the economy and general lots. Parking permits are available on the TRU Parking website, along with up to date information on campus construction that may impact your commute. Tip: from the TRU Go App you can see the number of spaces available in Lot N (the economy lot) before you even get to campus, by selecting "Lot N available" from the app's main menu.
TRU Orientation will happen, rain or shine! Please check the weather and dress appropriately!
