How do I login to Teams?
Simply double click on the Teams icon on your desktop, or search for it in Windows. Once opening for the first time you should be prompted to sign in with your TRU credentials.
You can also access Teams via the web at www.teams.microsoft.com.
How do I create a new Team? Are there any requirements I need to follow?

When creating a Team for a class we rcommend the following naming convention: start with the class code and section, if relevant (e.g. ENGL 1000, S1) and end with the Semester (e.g., Winter 2021)
How do I change the theme/get to settings?
Click on your own avatar icon on the top right and select the cog (settings) and change the theme from there. From here you can change the view as well as the theme.
How do I pin Teams/Channels?
If your view is set to List and not Grid under the Teams tab, you can right click on a channel and select “Pin” to move it to the top of the “Your Teams” section.
How do I create a new chat?
Just to the left of the search button, above the chat window is the “New Chat” button
How do I create a chat with more than 1 person
Create a new chat and add all the people you want. Otherwise you can enter an existing chat and click the “Add People” button in the upper right corner of the chat window next to Share Screen and Popup Chat Window
