Promotion Policy

The Human Service Programs Certificate/Child and Youth Care Diploma will be granted upon successful completion of all program courses. Some Fall semester courses are prerequisites for courses in the Winter semester.

Fall

• HUMS: In order for the student to be promoted from fall to winter and winter to spring semesters, the student must achieve a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 for each semester. In the event a student receives a failing grade in any course(s), the student may advance to the next semester providing the GPA requirement has been satisfied. However, the student will not receive a HUMS Certificate until the failed course(s) has/have been completed successfully.
• CYC: In order for the student to be promoted from Fall to Winter and Winter to Spring semesters, the student must achieve a minimum grade of "C" in ALL courses and an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.33 for both semesters.
