Engineering Transfer
Highlights
Get started on your engineering degree at TRU by taking one year of general study courses that are common to all engineering disciplines. This program transfers into the second year of a full engineering program at either the University of British Columbia or the University of Victoria, or stay at TRU to complete the BEng in Software Engineering Program.

Admission Requirements
- Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Pre-calculus 12 with a B (73%) minimum (or equivalent)
- Physics 12 with a B (73%) minimum (or equivalent)
- Chemistry 11 with a B (73%) minimum (or equivalent) (Chemistry 12 is highly recommended)
- English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 with a B (73%) minimum (combined high school and government exam) (or equivalent)
Conditional high school admission requirements
Students currently completing their grade 12 will be considered for admission using the following criteria:
- Pre-calculus 11 with an A- (80%) or 12 (or equivalent) with B (73%) or better
- Physics 11 with an A- (80%) or 12 (or equivalent) with B (73%) or better
- Chemistry 11 with an A- (80%) or 12 (or equivalent) with B (73%) or better
- One of: Composition 11, Creative Writing 11, Literary Studies 11, New Media 11, Spoken Language 11, EFP Literary Studies and Writing 11, EFP Literary Studies and New Media 11, EFP Literary Studies and Spoken Language 11 with an A- (80%) or English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 (or equivalent) with B (73%) (combined high school and government exam) or better
