In collaboration with Sc.wén̓wen Economic Development Corp (SEDC), the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), City of Kamloops, and Thompson Rivers University (TRU) are hosting an Indigenous vendor showcase for the regional community.

Indigenous owned businesses are invited to come and meet with buyers from around the region and share information about the goods and services their business provides. Register now to secure a free table for the event.

Businesses and their purchasing staff in the region who are interested in participating, meeting Indigenous vendors and supporting local economic development are invited to attend.

Why attend?

  • Meet and network with staff from BCLC, the City and TRU as well as other public and private organizations.
  • Showcase your business’s capabilities and capacity to attendees.
  • Share your business information to organizations for future reference and outreach.

What to expect:

A brief welcome followed by the opportunity for guests to visit Indigenous vendors at their tables

Refreshments and networking

Parking will be available at the BCLC parking lot accessed off Seymour Street (see Location tab for map)

All attendees must check in with security and will need to present photo ID.

An Indigenous business can be any of the below types in which Indigenous persons (First Nations/Métis/Inuit) have at least 51% ownership and control.
  • A band as defined by the Indian Act
  • A sole proprietorship
  • A limited company
  • A co-operative
  • A partnership
  • A not-for-profit organization









The personal information on this form is being collected for the purposes of workshop registration, workshop communications, and for procurement opportunity communications or for purposes consistent with these uses. The collection of this information is permitted under section 26(c) of FIPPA. This information will be retained in accordance with TRU’s Records Retention/Destruction Policy.
