Canada Post Strike Update
With the current Canada Post strike, TRU has taken the following steps to minimize the impact on future delivery. Please note that all parcel deliveries may experience delays.
Student awards
Students who are expecting student award payments can pick up their cheque at Student Award & Financial Aid office located in room 1629 in Old Main.

Open Learning
Open Learning course registrations are still open and available. Open Learning will use another shipping provider to deliver course material packages, during this time. You will be provided tracking numbers so you can see the status of your package.
When registering in a course, please double-check your shipping information and email address, so we ensure we are mailing to the correct address and can provide you tracking information. This will help mitigate any delays in your course materials arriving. Any question on Open Learning course materials, please reach out to olmaterials@tru.ca.
Transcript requests
Since we are unable to mail transcripts through regular postal services, any requests for transcripts via regular mail will be held until the strike has concluded. Here are the available options if you require your transcript:
Pick-Up Service
You are welcome to place a transcript order and choose “Hold for Pick-Up” to collect your official transcript in person from our office during regular business hours.
Courier Service
For an additional fee of $50, we can arrange for your transcript to be delivered via a courier service. As soon as your order is placed and the additional $50 payment is made, immediately send an email to transcripts@tru.ca to request this option. Payments can be made through your myTRU account or by calling the campus cashier at 250-371-5646 ext. 6.
If you have already submitted a request for a regular mail transcript, please consider selecting one of the alternative options above to receive your transcripts without delay. To proceed with either option or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at transcripts@tru.ca.
Vendors
Local vendors will be able to pick up their cheque at the TRU Materials Distribution Centre starting Tuesday, November 19 located at 805 TRU Way. For all vendors, please ensure you have your wire information included on your invoice or attached to make payments easier. Cheques may be couriered collect if requested, please forward your courier account for processing.
Please do not forward invoices to the accounts payable email as they cannot be processed. Please ensure all invoices are emailed to the appropriate contact person that you have dealt with here at TRU. For queries only please contact Any questions can be directed to accountspayable@tru.ca.
