Be a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! IDays 2025 requires the help of enthusiastic volunteers doing a variety of tasks.

The week-long celebration welcomes people to experience and participate in many events, including lectures on global issues, cultural demonstrations, dinners, food fairs, the DJ spectacular, a fashion show, and the showcase. IDays needs students who can volunteer during the day, but also in the evening, starting from 5 p.m.

  • Priority will be given to applicants who can commit three consecutive hours to each volunteer shift. We will do our best to schedule all applicants throughout the week, but this is not a guarantee. You will be contacted via email regarding availability and scheduling.
  • As a TRU IDays volunteer, you are required to attend a one-hour volunteer training session on Feburary 27.

Volunteer Application Form

As a TRU IDays volunteer, you are required to attend a mandatory training session.
The exact date, time and location will be communicated via email after the application deadline.

Volunteer Opportunities

Your selections will be taken into consideration while scheduling, however due to the large number of applicants, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your preferred tasks.
Priority

Media Release Form
In consideration of my volunteer work, I consent for all purposes to the use, and/or reproduction of all photographs taken on this/these date(s), by the TRU photographer or by any nominee of the photographer including any agency, client, publication or other organization or institution, in whole or in part, in all forms and media. I further consent to the reproduction or use of the photographs with or without my name, and consent that TRU may seek copyright of the photographs in their name. In giving this consent, I release the photographer and his/her nominees from liability for any violation of any personal or proprietary right I have in connection with any sale, reproduction or use of the photographs. I certify that I am 19 years of age or older.
