Event Safety Plans
Events are still required to have a safety plan, as per the Provincial Health Office orders.
If you are planning an upcoming event for your office, department or faculty please download and complete the Event Safety Plan template and submit at least two weeks prior to your event.
The TRU Conference Centre will provide you a copy of the template to complete and include with your booking.
Please check the Industry Specific Guidelines to ensure your event meets the current requirements. We will add more information soon to this page to clarify the difference between events and internal meetings. In the meantime, feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or if you are unsure where your event fits into safety planning requirements.
Differentiating between an event and work or academic functions
Safety plans are required for any on-campus events, but they are not required for functions that are academic or work-related. Use this flow chart to determine what area your function falls under and therefore whether a safety plan is required.
