Lab Facilities

First year
Two first-year laboratories are located in S261 and S269.

Analytical and physical chemistry
The main undergraduate laboratory is housed in S237.

Much of the instrumentation used by Students is in S237. Students also access the GC-MS in the adjoining room and the capillary electrophoresis unit in Biology.

Structural and synthetic chemistry
The main undergraduate laboratory is housed in S273. The student project room is in S271. The NMR facility is in S263.

GC-MS
The Varian Saturn 2200 GC-MS is used in courses and research in Chemistry and Biology.

Capillary Electrophoresis
The Beckman Pace CE unit is used in courses and research projects in Chemistry and Biology.

NMR
The Varian Gemini 2000 is used by Faculty and undergraduate students involved in research. For information on the Magnetic Resonance Facility contact, thammer@tru.ca.

Project Room
The project room is used by Faculty and upper level undergraduate students carrying out research projects.
