Delivery Options
The TRU MBA is one of the most flexible programs in Canada and removes the barriers that limit access to quality post-graduate education. Customize your MBA studies to your learning style, your work demands and your personal commitments. You can choose to study on-campus, online or through a blended combination.
On-campus MBA courses
Starting in September and January of each year, the full-time program can be completed in as little as 12 months. Small class sizes ensure high quality interaction between students and the instructor.
The program makes considerable use of the case approach, business simulations, team projects and guest speakers to engage students in the learning process. Global perspectives are incorporated throughout the curriculum and the diversity of our students and faculty further enhance the development of intercultural understanding.
Online MBA courses
Most MBA courses are available online asynchronously through Open Learning every September, January and May. They are paced courses with deadlines set for assignments and other deliverables. As there are no requirements for real-time interaction with the Open Learning Faculty Members, course content is made available online for students to access when it best suits their schedules. Technological innovations provide options for high levels of online collaborative interaction with peers for collaborative work.
Online courses are only available to students residing in Canada. Dates for examinations are set by our office and are included in course registration information. Any course requirements for proctored exams can be completed via an external online invigilation service.
Blended learning
Students are welcome to enroll in a combination of on-campus courses and Open Learning courses. TRU gives you the flexibility to combine on-campus and online courses to fit your lifestyle. As noted above, the online courses are only available to students residing in Canada at this time.
Part-time study
Part-time study options are available for both online and on-campus study. Part-time students are able to select an individualized course load each semester and must complete the MBA program within seven years of the start of the program.
