Medical Clinic

Call 250-828-5126 or drop in to make an appointment.

Location: Old Main – Lower Level (Room OM 1461)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (no lunch closure).

The clinic is closed for four weeks in late July and August and re-opens the week prior to the start of classes.

Appointments are required as it is not a drop-in clinic. For the best possible patient care, we ask that you consult your personal physician first, if at all possible. Due to the high volume of patients seen in the clinic — an average of 4,400 patients over 11 months — we are not able to see family members.

About the clinic

The clinic is available to all registered students, staff and faculty of TRU.

If you cannot make your appointment, please call and cancel. If you have had three "no shows" our clinic will no longer be able to continue booking appointments for you.

We provide a full range of medical services, provides vaccinations as required by various programs and organizes annual flu clinics in conjunction with other departments and community organizations.

Three physicians fill the full-time position on a rotating basis. Clinic staff also includes a medical office assistant.

All matters are strictly confidential. Health Services retains all medical documentation in a secure and confidential manner. Should students require access to these records, for any reason, contact the medical office assistant.

Some of our services include:

  • Insertion of IUD’s
  • Allergy Injections
  • Cold/Flu/Illness care
  • Physical exams (Work & Sports Medicals as required)
  • Prescriptions and medication management
  • Minor procedures: Ears Syringing, Suture Removal
  • Birth Control education and prescribing
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening and treatment
  • Vaccinations
  • Pregnancy testing
