New Student Registration

Graduate programs

After you have been accepted to your program, you will receive communication from your program advisor with information and instructions to register. Please follow the instructions.

ESAL, undergraduate and post-bac diploma programs

  1. Once you have been accepted to TRU and received your study permit approval, you will be connected with an academic advisor to help you plan your courses and guide you to prepare a conflict-free timetable.
  2. Your official school transcripts and English language test scores (if applicable) must be submitted before your courses can be finalized.
  3. When you have finalized your courses, your academic advisor will work with our International Admissions team to complete your registration and ensure you have a conflict free schedule. You will receive a message when it is complete.
  4. After registration, you may have additional fees owing on your account. You must pay the balance before the start of classes to avoid fees and penalties. You may also have a credit on your account which will show as a minus amount. This credit can be used for future registration.

Continuing Student Registration

Undergraduate, Post-Bac Diploma and Graduate programs

  1. Before registering, you must pay a tuition deposit through your myTRU account.
  2. Once your deposit is paid, you can register online. If you need assistance to plan your courses, connect with your academic or program advisor. If you need assistance to register, connect with our International Enrolment Services team.
  3. Check your myTRU account for your completed registration.
  4. Pay the balance on your account before classes start to avoid fees and penalties.

ESAL students and Undergraduate students who have completed less than nine credits

  1. Before registering, you must pay a tuition deposit through your myTRU account.
  2. Connect with your academic advisor to plan and schedule your courses.
  3. Prepare your timetable and send to International Enrolment Services team at ireg@tru.ca.
  4. Check your myTRU account for your completed registration.
  5. Pay the balance on your account before classes start to avoid fees and penalties.
